Rocky Gap, VA / February 26, 2024 / AMR PEMCO, Inc. is pleased to announce the acquisition of In-Situ Inc.’s Aquaculture Pond and Truck Monitoring System’s business assets. The acquisition will enable AMR PEMCO to combine industry leading technologies and provide best-in-class performance for aquaculture pond monitoring of dissolved oxygen and aeration control systems.
By combining AMR PEMCO’s Fish Net Pond monitoring system and In-Situ Inc.’s Aquaculture Pond and Truck Monitoring business segment, customers can expect to see innovative new products that will enhance the quality, health and yield of their aquaculture protein products. AMR PEMCO plans to improve and support In-Situ’s existing product line for the foreseeable future while also immediately offer its new wireless solar-powered pond buoy, which is able to fully integrate with In-Situ’s existing systems. The new buoy utilizes AMR PEMCO’s galvanic dissolved oxygen sensor and is kept above the water line for minimal annual maintenance. Customers will have the option of purchasing both In-Situ’s current solar-powered pond buoy that utilizes In-Situ’s RDO® optical dissolved oxygen sensor as well as AMR PEMCO’s new galvanic buoy.
Further, AMR PEMCO and In-Situ have signed a Product Purchase Agreement whereby AMR PEMCO will distribute In-Situ’s RDO® optical dissolved oxygen sensor as well as the RDO® Classic Cap to the U.S. aquaculture industry. AMR PEMCO also plans to continue to provide field service and support to customers in the U.S. aquaculture industry. In-Situ’s former Aquaculture Sales and Service Manager, Chris Stevens, and Service Technician, Pat Stevens, have joined AMR PEMCO’s team and will serve in the same roles. AMR PEMCO has also assumed In-Situ’s distributorship with the Bird Control Group and will continue to offer its highly effective bird deterrent products to the U.S. aquaculture industry.
In 1975, Robert (Bob) Graf founded AMR PEMCO to support the U.S. coal mining industry’s need for enhanced safety and productivity through the development of the pilotless ground check monitor.
